Breast surgery includes breast augmentation (enlargement), reconstruction, reduction, gynaecomastia, mastopexy (breast lift), nipple reconstruction, inverted nipple correction and tissue expansion.

Breast Surgery Procedures

• Breast Augmentation

  Breast augumentation involves the placement of an implant to boost the size of the breast.
  

• Breast Reconstruction

  Dr. Belt is able to offer the complete range of reconstructive techniques which are used in breast reconstruction.
  

• Breast Reduction

  This operation involves the removal of breast tissue and usually some breast skin.
  

• Gynaecomastia Surgery

  Surgery for gynaecomastia aims to remove excess breast tissue, fat and skin from the male breast.
  

• Mastopexy (Breast Lift)

  Mastopexy or breast lift involves redraping the breast skin envelope to restore a youthful breast shape.

• Microsurgery

  Microsurgery involves the use of specialist instruments and sutures (stitches) to rejoin small blood vessels and nerves.
  

• Nipple Reconstruction

  This involves the creation of a nipple areolar mound and pigment to replace that removed by mastectomy.
  

• Inverted nipple correction

  Many patients are born with inverted nipples. These may get worse with advancing age. Inverted nipples may cause cosmetic concerns, and can interfere with breast feeding.
  

• Breast Tissue Expansion

  Tissue expansion is a Plastic Surgical procedure in which silicone balloons (expanders) are inserted, and then serially inflated with saline.
